Essential equipment

DJI Pocket 2

Very important that you purchase the Creator Combo. It includes an attachment that enables the wifi connection that give you the ability to control the camera from your phone. Beaware - The pocket 3 is rumoured to be released in November, so you might wait for a disount on the pocket 2 or upgrade to the pocket 3.

Light Stand

This is a very good stand for getting the camera has high as safely possible. It's light wieght and already comes with the proper adapter that the camera can screw directly into.

Battery backup

The camera will run for about an hour on a full charge. I personally plug in an external battery to the camera before and during filming. It's a good habit to have in case you forget to charge the night before. You don't want to miss the last second, game winning goal.

Other considerations

External hard drive

I have 2 daughtes playing club soccer and I record every game. In the past two years, I recorded over 60 games resulting in close to a terabye of store space. Thats more than most laptops are equiped with.

Editing software

Find an easy to use and free editng softawre. If you choose to cut the camera during the game for substitution, injuries and halftime. You'll want to stich it back together as one contiuous video for easy viewing and uploading to the web.

YouTube Account

Open a dedicated YouTube account that you will upload your videos and share the links. You can set up channels and allow downloads. I recommend setting up a password.

Control Setting

Easy Control: off

This control setting seperates the pan from the tilt. It makes it easier to pan smoothly without affecting the tilt. Pan and tilt can be done similtainiously but zooming can must be done indipendently of pan and tilt.
